RPG Games! Is it worth spending huge time?

RPG or Role-playing game is a very popular genre of game that is gaining popularity at a very high pace. In the recent years, its growth has been stable with any upward trend, but that doesn't mean people are not liking the games.

If we take a look at the popularity chart of RPG vs. other popular genres like Action, Shooter, Strategy to name a few, it is clearly visible that the gaming community as well as the gaming market is having a high search for RPG than the others.

It is very clear from the chart above, people are more interested in RPG than other top genres. The reason for such interest is due to the play-style of the given genre. As seen in the graph over the duration of an year, a huge number of people are hooked into RPG followed by First-person Shooter, Action and Strategy.

 If we take a look at the world map, we can see that RPG is most popular in Western countries like USA, Canada, Brazil, and many more. While Action and Shooter games are popular in Eastern countries like India, China, Russia, and most part of Africa.

Overview

RPG solely focuses on implementing character building the best possible match. It allows the player to design it's look, the story it follows, the path it chooses and the decision it makes as the player wishes to. 

This makes the game time more engaging for the player as he/she starts implementing his/her dreams in the gaming world where he/she rules over. It brings out the player's personality in graphics and makes it somehow tangible. Surely this helps in the development of one's interpersonal skills. The player becomes one with the character and the story line become more intense and enjoyable.

 Now, coming to interesting part, the ability and skill tree of RPG game. These games generally consist of skill development and ability enhancement. Every player is free to choose the skills and abilities he/she wishes their characters to learn. For example, someone may wish to play as a noble person while other one may love to play as an evil. Yes, you heard right! You can even be a crazy killing monster.

Another important characteristic of RPGs is the dialogue system. It allows the player to choose from a no. of ways in which the character wants to talk with NPCs which further makes it only option for character relationship.
